Heritage Week
At D.F Malherbe High School we celebrate our heritage with a week-long celebration that includes a variety of cultural activities culminating in a birthday parade with class banners and the quintessential birthday party. The learners are tasked with identifying what makes them proud to be part of D.F. Malherbe High School and each register class must illustrate this on a banner, in essence celebrating the heritage of the school and the role it plays in the community.
The learners dress up to show their proud involvement in the school and the various activities of the school. A parade is held on the school grounds by the register classes, showcasing their banners and what they are most proud of.
Learners enjoy cupcakes as part of the heritage (birthday) celebrations.
