In 2013 D.F. Malherbe High School had their first Interschools’ competition against Despatch High School. This event is held in the third term of the year. Learners compete in different sports and cultural events over two days. This is the highlight of the year for all the learners.  The build up to this exciting weekend includes, spirit building, the Big Brag and a staff concert to entertain the learners and parents.

The program during interschools’ includes:

Sport

Rugby, Boys’ and Girls’ Hockey, Netball, Tennis, Cross Country, Golf, Chess and E- sports.

Culture

Debating, Quiz, Talent Competition and Minute to win it.

At the end of the weekend all the sport and culture events’ results are totalled to determine the overall winner of Interschools.
