At D.F. Malherbe all learners have an opportunity to participate in a variety of athletics events. We are proud of the achievements of our athletes at our interhouse event as well as the athletes that progress to the Zonal, PE High Schools and Metro athletics meetings.

At the start of 2022, D.F. announced the new format of the interhouse athletics.  Houses Hauman, Vosloo and van Wyk competed for the first time at the interhouse athletics meeting held on our school grounds for the first time.

Learners were very excited to enter in the different events to ensure that their team contributed to the mass participation and made the athletics meeting a great success. 

After the interhouse athletics meeting, the athletes can qualify to for the Zonal, PE High School and Metro events. At the Metro event a team is chosen to compete at the Eastern Cape Schools’ event.
