Netball is one of the first sports introduced to D.F. Malherbe High School.

D.F. Malherbe has produced a number of provincial netball players over the years and has also participated in the S.A. Championships.

We take great pride in our netball coaches and umpires who prioritize their development with the help of hands-on annual courses. Workshops run by Lana Krige, Euleen Grobbelaar and Jeanie Steyn are held regularly as well, and, with the help of D.F.’s netball management, they hone and mold each player into a well-adjusted and happy individual. We have appointed the experienced and capable Ms Dillian Pienaar as head of netball.

A sense of belonging and a positive spirit is what we strive to create, whether it be through our end-of-season socials or a lively after-school practice session on a warm, sunny day.

D.F. Malherbe High School welcomes all its players to join its ever-growing netball family.

At the start of each year, netball squads play final school trials and take part in pre-season tournaments. We also have a high-performance squad which is coached by Ms Pienaar.  The purpose of these tournaments to finalise the teams for the upcoming year.  Exceptionally skilled players from each team are given the opportunity to shine at Eastern Cape Schools trials.
