A course is presented in Communication and Leadership for Grade 11 learners. In this short course we, at Act Toastmasters, aim to teach them the fundamentals of effective verbal communication, which is so vital in all aspects of our society.
Toastmasters International is a non-profit, adult educational organisation with thousands of members in clubs throughout the world. The aim of Toastmasters International is to help people learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking – vital skills that promote self-actualization and enhance leadership potential. The course will be held on Tuesday afternoons for 8 weeks. All learners who complete the course satisfactorily will receive a certificate which can be included with their CV when applying for work.
Dates: Term 1
Time: 16:00 to 18:00 (to be confirmed)
As part of their leadership training, the learners will plan a Graduation ceremony at which every participant will have an opportunity to demonstrate something of what they have learnt to friends and relatives whom they wish to invite. The event will be held on at the end of the course. The cost per person will be determined during planning of the graduation.
